About Smithkon - Home Builders in Mornington Peninsula
A passion for creating stunning homes
Smithkon Home Builders is built on a foundation of extensive industry experience and a passion for helping people realise their dream homes on the Mornington Peninsula.
Director Alexander Smith has dedicated his entire career to the building industry. Starting as a carpenter for trusted high-end builders in the region, Alex developed a reputation for forging strong relationships with suppliers, peers, and clients.
From the beginning, Smithkon Home Builders has aimed to stand out—not just as another builder, but as a business that exceeds expectations. We pride ourselves on being reliable, transparent, and above all, highly trusted. Our commitment is to deliver exceptional homes for our clients while supporting loyal local trades and suppliers.
With Smithkon Home Builders, the path to building your dream home on the Mornington Peninsula is clearer than ever.
Being involved in building people’s vision – whether it’s a new residential home, a renovation, an extension or an investment property – is a responsibility Alexander takes seriously. At the same time, he does his utmost to ensure the process is as smooth and stress-free as possible for clients.
“I see our role as supporting the client as much as possible through what can be a stressful time,” Alex says. “I build dream homes everyday, but our clients don’t. There are a lot of decisions to make, details to sort through and the process can be daunting, which is why I value communication, advice and support through the entire project.”
Passion For The Local Mornington Peninsula Area
Building new homes for clients is only part of Alex’s story. He’s passionate about the Mornington Peninsula area and the life he’s built here with his family.
“I’m family oriented and love living in our home in Mornington with my partner and three boys,” says Alexander. “We’re lucky enough to live in one of the most beautiful areas of Victoria, and indeed the world.
“The area allows me to indulge my other passions, particularly health and fitness. I love being outdoors, have been involved with many local sporting clubs over the years and enjoy surfing when I get some downtime.”
